PLEASE TAKE A STROLL AROUND ACHIMOTA WITH US AND HELP US SAVE HER FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS
Achimota, that beacon and symbol of learning for generations of Ghanaians, Africans and diasporans is under threat by developers through the illegal sale of its lands. This rampant encroachment is having an adverse impact on the school’s academic life and poses a serious security threat to the safety of the students and staff and ultimately to its very survival.
We the 1990 year group have launched a BT MyDonate online appeal (https://mydonate.bt.com/events/oaauk90yrgroupdinnerdance2017/321336) to help raise funds for the measures being undertaken by the School and Alumni Association to address this vital issue and hence our choosing this cause as the focus of our OAA-UK Annual Dinner Dance Fundraiser in May 2017. For we cannot allow it to be said that it was in our time: that we presided over the dying embers of this bastion which helped shape the African continent; that this historical institution whose alumni are contributors in diverse fields across the globe breathed its last; that this mainstay of Ghanaian education ceased to exist; and that Achimota was lost.
Please help us safeguard Achimota’s heritage for future generations. Please help……please give……thank you.

OAA '91 Sponsored Walk
What started out as an idea to get mates, friends and loved ones together for a picnic ended in something even more inspiring; the OAA '91 sponsored walk on September 19th.
This was one of the few events that we as OAA91 are undertaking as we inch closer to our 25th anniversary homecoming and to accomplish that successfully, we need to plan thoroughly and back our plans with resources to see it through.
Choosing the theme ‘a healthy body makes a healthy mind’ was so unanimous, I guess we all were thinking about the benefits of a healthy mind as we go past the "40 yard line".
We’re so grateful to all who purchased tickets to make our fundraiser take off the way that it did.
Again we thank those of us who took time out of their busy schedules to sell booklets, t-shirts, the walk itself and what else can I say but every single individual who made this possible.
There was a very diverse turnout from across the various year groups, fans from other schools as well as spouses. Without a doubt they made the occasion the success that it was. We beg forgiveness for the short walk and promise to make it longer next time round so we won’t have so much food and drinks leftover.
We’ve included a few snap shots of the event to motivate others who just need the right jolt to catch the Motown fever.
